Got a good handle on how Pendle oracles and Pendle related markets are created, the rest are really just seeding capital to get the markets work and most importantly, to ensure that the setup is sound for the given token. But the whole process is really cool
For people in the oracle business, you need more self-serve tools to naturally increase your market share. Heck, reward users who successfully deploy and scale TVS to ensure alignment.
Off the cuff and some gaps in my quick adventure:
1) Oracle websites are very fixated on "Get in touch with us" or docs. Place more emphasis, with larger, more obvious buttons, on either going to the feed page or requesting more tokens, etc. I use an oracle because I want price quotes, so make your page about price quotes and not integrations IMO
2.1) Chainlink, unlike Etherscan with truncated addresses that can still be indexed, causes Google to fail to index addresses on the token webpage. This means when one searches for oracle addresses, you can't find the Chainlink-related token oracle, and this makes DD on oracles a PITA and it also hurts the discovery process
2.2) Not to mention you can't even search for Chainlink oracles. You have to manually cycle through the table for a chain to find the token you want. Extremely ridiculous.
2.3) The other oracle providers aren't any better tbh. One couldn't sort a table page alphabetically correctly, lmao.
3) For other oracles like Pyth and Redstone, consider the path from one curious user to deployment. For Morpho, I am able to use Pendle–Chainlink integration to make an oracle to be passed on to Morpho. I can't do this (not that I know of at the moment) for other oracles. From a growth perspective, it begs the question: what are some other areas that these alternate user journeys/oracles are missing out on? You really need to lock this down.
I think the above are some short to medium quick fixes.
I know I'm gonna sound mean but if you are part of the above oracles, I really don't wish to see chest thumping e/acc 996 talk on X because its pretty crazy for the amount of big talk, the UX feels like I'm in a demo
I guess the next part of the adventure is to find a way to find/make an oracle in the event Chainlink doesn't list them
I saw some contracts doing aggregation and/or making a vault related price feed
