Today, @ventuals launched its mainnet. Ventuals publishes oracle prices for each market using a 50/50 mix of:
- the latest external valuation based on industry-leading off-chain data
- the 8-hour incremental EMA of the mark price
Funding rates on Ventuals are just 1/200 of Hyperliquid’s, allowing much wider divergences between mark and oracle prices.
Given how opaque pre-IPO valuations are in the real world, it’s still unclear how easily liquidity will form on-chain.
